As Sade Sati has already started for your brother, so tell him to do some good deeds, respect elders and always favor justice. After approximately one year, the testing time will start for your brother on the affect of sade sati. To reduce those effects he can reading Hanuman Chalisa and visit Hanuman / Shanishwar Temple on Saturday evenings and offering black sesame (tila) seeds.
Along with that, on fortnightly on Saturdays heat an steel black colored griddle (tava), after it gets heated take out the tava griddle (tava) and above it sprinkle few drops of milk by worshiping lord Shani / Saturn. Precious gemstones are ones which are rarely available / costlier, semi-precious gemstones are the ones which are little easily available whose price are less costlier.
We all know that all the elements on universe are made in combination of some chemicals / minerals which is an scientific approach. And you can find the similar chemical composition in most of the gems as per my knowledge.
Can these gems be weared for astrological purpose will they do any mystical powers? Science doesn’t has this information. One important thing; any gemstone whether it is precious / semi-precious one should be frequently energising it / should follow the right rituals to keep them energised. If you fail to do these then there is no point in wearing gemstones for astrological remedies.
Coming to semi-precious gemstones these stones effect wouldn’t last for long, say for few months and if lucky for few years (depending on your behaviour and your surrounding energy fields)

Coming to your question; let me know whether you are wearing these gemstones for astrological purpose or just for ornamental purpose?
As all the above gemstones are semi-precious; their power may not stay for a long time. And if you are wearing these gemstones for astrological purpose then it should be properly charged with proper rituals.
Try not to wear energized Blue Turquiose and energized Red Carnelian at the same time as they are both significators of enemical planets. If you really want to wear then you can wear Red Carnelian after energizing it but do not wear while eating non-veg, performing your daily morning routines, having sex etc. so that it does not losses its astrological energizes.
It is advised that you don’t wear them all together for astrological purpose, however for ornamental purpose you can wear them all together.
