It always better if you could share your birth details here in this forum, so that i should be able to figure it out what was the necessary made you to go for these gems. I can many of the astrologers who doesnt have good amount of knowledge they just tell general pattern of wearing which may be harmfull to you.
And coming to your question now yes gomed and pearl are significatore of rahu( northen node of moon / dragons head) and moon respectively. First see the basic why you want to wear the gemstone. You wear the gemstones when the planets in your birth time are poisted in wrong positions giving out ill effects during their vimshottari. Lets go in to deep as rahu is an natural malefic shadowy planet (its not an planet scientifically) he creates more stress in ones life if he is malefic in horoscope. So when you wear hassonite garnet / gomed it will start releiving the stress not just by magic it will calms you down instead of aggression. So coming to Moon, even moon is an natural significator of our mind. So if he is not been poisted well / he is very near to dark moon status he will give out unstable mentality in an person’s life. if wear pearl you get an ability you control your mind well.

I agree that Iron is the metal / significant metal symobolising Saturn. You can use iron metal for as a remedy for reducing the Saturn’s adverse effects. However here you are using one of the alternative remedial element of Saturn which is Blue Sapphire (neelam) so you need not require to use another element of Saturn itself. However, if you use iron / steel / five elements (pancha dhatu) ring or pendant it undergoes chemical changes when it comes in contact with skin and can cause some skin allergies otherwise Iron metal is the best for Blue Sapphire. But from our ancient times we have mostly used gold / silver ornaments which are friendly to skin and body.
Gold is signified by Jupiter which is neutral to Saturn so no harm in wearing “Blue Sapphire” with Gold metal. You can wear Blue Sapphire with Silver as Silver represents both Moon and Venus where Venus gels well with Saturn but Moon doesn’t gels well with Saturn so you will not get 100% positive result.
Apart from these; just wearing gemstone all the time does not give you 100% result. To gain maximum positive result one has to keep on energising gemstones frequently as gemstones will start loosing its +ve energy fighting with -ve energies around the person who is wearing it.

To get the correct answer, please share your sister’s birth details like date, time and place of birth. One more thing; why is she looking for a gem, for marriage or for general life?

As per your birth details, you were born on Wednesday and your nakshatra is Magha 4th quadrant and Leo zodiac. And for your question of using Blue sapphire, my advice is to not at all wear the blue sapphire reason being your ascendant Leo. And if you wear you end up with health issues which is not good. And what I can see is wearing Garnet and Cat’s Eye doesn’t fruit filling you wishes.

Regarding your question, Blue Sapphire can be worn in Gold ring or pendant which can give good results. However, one can also wear Blue Sapphire with Silver when advised by astrologer after looking up ones horoscope as silver signifies Moon & Venus and Blue Sapphire signifies Saturn. The interesting part is that; Saturn (Blue Sapphire) is enemy of Moon (Silver) but friend of Venus (Silver); so it may not give the maximum result.
If you are financially capable for opting a gold ring or pendant with Blue Sapphire, then please go ahead. If your present financial situations are not allowing you, then you can go with silver metal for time being or other metals like iron and steel. Please wear it again in auspicious time after cleaning the gemstone with warm luke water.
For your second question, price varies with quality of gemstone. Cut, clarity, color significantly effects the price of any gemstone. It is best to buy from trusted person.

As per your birth details, you are born on Sunday; Star – Punarvasu 1st Quadrant with Gemini zodiac. From my knowledge, I can say that you are undergoing some personal problems like marriage, not being able to settle down in work life properly or either business is not doing well. And most of your financial problem seems to be due to ignorance, lack of wisdom, wrong selection/choice.
At present I think the suggestion provided by your astrologer is not helping you. Just by wearing Emerald and Yellow Sapphire will not solve your problems at the moment.
Regarding your question; Yellow Sapphire is significator of Jupiter and Emerald is significator of Mercury. Both mercury and jupiter are placed in 12th house in your horoscope (kundali) and since they are permanent enemies if you wear both of them at the same time you may end up with more unfavourable situations.

Based on the details of your birth provided; I am considering the time of birth is morning 8:20 AM. From next time it would be really appreciated if you (or anyone else) could give their full birth detail by mentioning their place of birth as it will be very precise in casting horoscope.
As per the details provided, you are Taurus zodiac born (as per moon) on Thursday on Krittika Nakshatra 4th quadrant. As per your horoscope, I hope you are having some tensions regarding your love life and your financial status seems to be disturbed. This is because the second house is occupied by Rahu and even finiancial planet Guru is with Rahu in 2nd house. Even your family situation seems to be unstable (bearing ups and downs). However due to present planets transit from last May, your fianacial situation is quite satisfactory.
Coming to the point of Gomed, it has to be worn on middle finger (not ring finger), reason being ring finger is ruled by planet Sun and Gomed symbolises planet Rahu (north node of moon / dragons head) which are dead against enemies. I will certainly help you out in figuring out the correct gemstone for you. Can you please confirm the details of your birth, like you have given your Time of birth as 2:20am, is it early morning of 3rd april ( as per astrology after midnight 12am the next calender day starts)?
In other words, were you born on 2nd April after midnight 2:20am (which is 3rd) or on 3rd April (Friday) after midnight 2.20am which is 4th?
