    @Helen,

    Females are advised to wear their rings in left hand while males are advised to wear them in right.

    You can wear blue sapphire along with garnet but not with ruby as per the list shown above this post.

    In India, people don’t take the rings off from their fingers as they had worn the gemstone on special day after worshiping. And they believe that taking the rings off could lessen the astrological powers.

    But, one should not be worried about taking the ring off if one feels uneasy with it. It is just about one beliefs. But for full astrological effect it should be worn 24/7/365. If you can’t wear it through out the day, specially on night then keep the ring under your pillow.

    In India, before wearing a gemstone either a ring, pendant, etc., astrologers advise to keep the gemstone under their pillow for 3-4 days when going to bed to see if the gemstone brings positive result.

    @Easwari,

    When it says yellow sapphire is not to be worn with blue sapphire, then it means that both should not be worn on the same time irrespective of hand or finger.

    @Puvaneswaran,

    Yes, I think you can wear them both on the same finger.

    Ms. Bharati,

    You can wear these 3 gemstones (Ruby, Lapis Lazuli & Emerald) together without any problem.

    Everything you described sounds good except that ruby ring should be worn on ring finger of your left hand.

    @Dibyendu Mandal,

    It is sometimes confusing even after looking at the chart above. Well! One can wear both pearl and emerald on the same little finger of right hand in case of male and left hand in case of female.

    Wearing two rings in one finger may sound somewhat rubbish but trust me it is better that way and I have seen people wearing 3 rings in same finger.

    Yes, Akash. Emerald, Diamond & Blue Sapphire can be worn together without any problem.

    Some websites may say that Diamond should not be worn together with Emerald or vice-versa but according to astrological point of view one can wear these 3 gemstones together without any problem.

    I know little bit about astrology relating to gems.

    Hessonite garnet (gomed) is mostly worn on silver metal but it can also be worn in gold when prescribed by astrologist. I wouldn’t say that wearing a hessonite garnet in gold would bring adverse effect but to get the best result of hessonite it should always be studded in silver metal.

    I don’t know if it is true that hessonite should not be worn with yellow sapphire. But, if it is true then hessonite should also not be worn with yellow topaz and citirine.

    Though I’m positive that hessonite should not be worn along with ruby, coral and pearl or combination of these stones.

    In case if you don’t know, here is a link which explains the benefits of wearing hessonite garnet http://www.gemstonebuzz.com/meaning/hessonite and properties of hessonite garnet http://www.gemstonebuzz.com/grossular.

    🙂

    “Luster” is an optical property of a gemstone and since a synthetic stone has same chemical and optical properties their luster will also be the same. The only thing is that synthetic gemstones are generally more clean and clear than natural counterparts that are why synthetic stone seems more appealing.

    People wear gemstone not only for astrological power but also for status symbol and pleasure i.e. why they go for natural one. If I have been asked to wear a gemstone, I would also go for natural one because it gives me personal satisfaction. But if the price is beyond my reach then I wouldn’t mind going for a synthetic gemstone. It’s actually ones choice.

    Synthetic gemstones have same chemical and optical properties as natural gemstones. The only difference among them is inclusions.

    From the astrological point of view, a gemstone is said to endow powers when light (natural sunlight) enters from gemstone through to the body.

    Since both natural and synthetic gemstones have same chemical bonding and when light enters in gemstone it passes through the same chemical bonding structure before entering in the body, i.e. why it is obvious that synthetic gemstone has same astrological powers as natural gemstones.

    I don’t know exactly on which finger aquamarine should be worn. But since both emerald and aquamarine are variety of “beryl”, they should go together.

    Since emerald is worn on little finger either in silver or gold preferably on Wednesday, aquamarine should also be worn on little finger on Wednesday though one should consult an astrologer for this regard.
