About Me : Have had an interest in Geology and Mineralogy since College, when it was my extracurricular study. I am now a Pensioner, with an interest in Jewelry, mostly for investment purposes, but also for my Grand-Daughters, as I give them some, hoping that they hold on to pieces until they are really desperate for cash, then that's OK if they sell them. I have quite a large collection now and wanted to check out some of the pieces for authenticity, as I have been fooled a couple of times by fake 'Sapphires', that have turned out to be man made stones and that is why I am here, as I bought some recently and I am not sure about them. Valuations can be expensive.
