I found this ring burried in a garden some 6 years ago. Because I was little (about 8), I didn’t think anything ofit, but now I want to know how much it’s worth and if it’s real. I really doubt that it’s real but I want to check. I took some photos, but they’re incredibly bad and I doubt they’ll help at all.

Because I’ve never had anything to do with sapphires or anything even remotly like that, I have no idea what information to include, so feel free to ask questions, and I’ll try my best to answer them 🙂
    Thanks.

Without testing, it would be very difficult to tell you what you have. A few questions: look very closely at the center stone: are their small chips around the table? Shine a bright light through the back of the stones: do you see zones of colors or is it one solid color? Can you see any specks inside the stones?

Though this won’t prove the genuineness of the stones, is the ring 14k? If you don’t see a gold stamp on the ring itself, it is less likely that the stones are genuine simply because jewelers are less likely to put genuine precious stones in low quality settings. If the ring is 14K or 18K gold, I recommend that you have the ring appraised. That will tell you if you have genuine stones and will give you a valuation for insurance purposes. Hope that helps!
