Hi,
I am wearing blue sapphire ring as suggested by moon sign. As per sun sign as it is Leo, can i wear ruby?
I did not get proper benefit through blue sapphire though it did not harm me also that way.There are also varied lists of birthstones, depending on the origin. The traditional origin of the Leo birthstone, is ruby or onyx for July and sardonyx or carnelian for August.The modern version is ruby for July and peridot for August.
You can also use Loose Diamonds for the good luck because they will only give you benefit and won’t harm you as well.

I advise you to not to wear gemstones based on moon sign or sun sign, this may not work well. In fact, it may harm you. The harm could not be evident, but it may be in the form of lost opportunities.
As an astrologer, I would advise wearing gems based on your ascendant after deciphering the rulership and strength of the planets in your horoscope.

It is always better to wear the gemstone relavant to your horoscope requirements rather than your zodiac. However if you dont have an accurate or nearly accurate birth details, then you can wear the gemstone based on your moon zodiac but not sun zodiac. Reason being the moon transit an zodiac within 2.5 days and sun transits the same in 30 days. So for more astrological accuracy moon zodiac would be more accurate.
